Celebrating the Legacy of Women in Beauty
Mirabella Beauty was founded in 2002 by a professional makeup artist who developed the brand exclusively for the professional salon industry. At its inception, the brand featured an extensive shade range and mineral-based formulas that quickly became an industry leader in cosmetics. While the brand saw growth over the years, it wasn't until Mirabella was purchased by husband-and-wife duo and owners of The Lano Company, Layne and Miranda Coggins, that the brand went through a company-wide rebrand that created an overall shift in packaging, shades, components, pricing structure, and EXPANSION.
As we begin Women's History Month, we are proud to tell the story of our owner Miranda Coggins, our very own STRONG woman both in business and character. Conceptualized in 2003, The Lano Company was inspired by Coggins' life-long struggle with chronically chapped lips after discovering the healing properties of medical-grade lanolin prescribed by her doctor post pregnancy. In 2005, the absence of lanolin-based lip balms in the market inspired Coggins' to create her own formula from natural moisturizing oils. And, well, the rest is history!
